Learn to paint more loosely and expressively in watercolor! Flowers are a great subject to use when seeking to paint more intuitively and fluidly, and in this course you'll learn and practice techniques that will strengthen your painting skills. Artist Angela Fehr will demonstrate the painting techniques that she uses to create vibrant florals in watercolor. Watch each technique video, then practice the techniques demonstrated to build your skills and get comfortable with the medium.
Techniques covered during the class include observation & editing, postive painting, negative painting, textural effects, glazing, wet-in-wet "hide & seek" painting and color mixing.
Throughout the course you will be able to ask questions at the end of each lecture, post your projects in the Student Gallery and receive guidance and constructive criticism from fellow students and your instruction. Wrap up the course by painting a flower arrangement using the techniques covered during the course.
Painting in watercolor for twenty years, Angela Fehr's paintings are full of vibrant color, fluidly expressed. Painting is a journey and there is joy in the process, and sharing that attitude for embracing creativity is Angela's goal in all her classes.
Angela Fehr is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, the Peace Watercolour Society and the South Peace Art Society and has exhibited her work in galleries in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.
